Biography

Born 1 November 1811 in Krutebo, Tidersrum (E). Died 6 March 1844 in Boås utjord, Kisa (E). Nils Magnus Månsson was born 1/11 and christened 3/11 1811. His parents were the farmer Måns Nilsson and his wife Lena Jönsdotter at Krutebo, Tidersrum (E).Sponsors were the farmer Peter Johansson in Björkefall, the farmhand Sven Svensson in Rödjeholm, the wife Brita Sam(uels)dotter in Krutebo, the daughter Ingeborg Nilsdotter there. Nils Magnus had a sister, who was called Stina Månsdotter and was marrried to the farmer Anders Danbom. They had a son named Magnus August Danbom, who later emigrated to America. His son Ernst (Ernest) Danbom died on board the Titanic in 1912. Another sibling was Johan Petter Månsson in Kättestorp, who was the father of Johan Viktor Johansson who also was a farmer in Kättestorp. Nils Magnus was married 27 years old to Anna Lena Persdotter in 1839 and they had a son, Magnus Vilhelm. When he was 32 years of age Nils Magnus died in Boås in Kisa (E). In the death register of Kisa of 1844 you can read: "Nils Magnus Månsson, living free of charge at Boås. Born 1811-11-01. Married in 1839 to Anna Lena Persdotter and has a son with her. He has ben doing his housekeeping badly and has become insolvent. Buried 17th of March. 32 years old. Cause of death: tuberculosis." According to the register of the parish catechetical meeting of Boås utjord in Kisa (E) 1844 his day of death is said to be 1844-03-06.

Anna Lena Persdotter. Born 1 July 1812 in Killingevid, V.Eneby (E). Died 23 November 1879 in Södra Vi (H). Anna Helena (Lena) Petersdotter (Persdotter) was born 1812-07-05. Her parents were the farmer Peter Magnus Svensson and his wife Lena Stina Persdotter in Nedre Killingevid in the parish of Västra Eneby (E). Sponsors were maintaining farmer Isak Eriksson in Gräverum, brickburning master Anders Spångberg in N. Killingevid, farmhand Sven Jakob Isaksson in Gräverum, wife Anna Månsdotter in Gräverum, wife Anna Greta Johannisdotter in Övra Killingevid, maid Maja Andersdotter in N.Killingevid. Anna Lena Persdotter married Nils Magnus Månsson 1839-07-27 in V.Eneby and then their son Magnus Vilhelm was born 1840-05-07. At that time they lived at Kättestorp in Kisa but changed residence that same year to Vimantorp in the same parish. Three years later the family moved to Boås utjord in Kisa and 1844-05-06 Anna Lena's husband died according to the church books on account of tuberculosis. Anna Lena and little Magnus Vilhelm later that same year had to move to Sven Månsson and Anna Lena's sister Greta Lisa Persdotter in Misterfall and live there. Anna Lena is recorded in the church register as widow in 1844 and as remarried in 1852. She married Johannes Persson, b. 1814-04-14 in Kisa. Johannes Persson had moved from Kisa to Råshult in the parish of Tidersrum, where he farmed. After the wedding in 1852 Anna Lena and Magnus Vilhelm moved to Råshult. Anna Lena and her mother Lena Stina were living in the same village Råshult at this time. After some years there Johannes and Anna Lena moved to the soldier cottage Spingan. Her son Magnus Vilhelm and his wife were later on to be found after their wedding 1864-10-22 at the cottage Spingan. Anna Lena's husband Johannes passed away at springtime 1865, only a couple of months before Karolina Josefina and Magnus Vilhelm first-born, Nils Johan, came into the world on the 20th of May 1865. Anna Lena stayed at the cottage Spingan with her son and his wife until they moved to Horva in Tidersrum. She stayed on as a person living free of charge with the new inhabitant at Spingan. In 1873 Magnus Vilhelm and Karolina Josefina moved from Horva in Tidersrum to the farm Lindefall in Södra Vi, Småland. Anna Lena moved eventually to her son in Södra Vi and died there 1879-11-23.

	Magnus Vilhelm Nilsson. Born 7 April 1840 in Kättestorp, Kisa (E). Died 10 April 1927 in Södra Vi (H). Magnus Vilhelm was born in Kättestorp in Kisa (E) in 1840. The date seems to vary: 1/5, 7/5 and 7/4.This latter date is found in the church book registering births and can therefore be the right one. According to Linnea Carlsson, who is a grandchild of Magnus Vilhelm, he was christened to Vilhelm because he was born on the Vilhelm day, which is the sixth of April. His father was Nils Magnus Månsson and his mother Anna Lena Persdotter. Godfathers and godmothers were Sven Månsson in Misterfall, the farmhand Sven Isak Jonsson in Vimantorp, the wife Karolina Karlsdotter ibid. and the maid Stina Sofia Persdotter in Misterfall. The Månsson family moved from Kättestorp to Havredalen, Vimantorp, the same year that his son was born. In 1843 the family moved again - this time to Boås Utjord in Kisa, where Magnus Vilhelm's father died 1844-05-06, barely 33 years old. Magnus Vilhem was four years of age at that time. The same year Magnus Vilhem and his mother moved to Sven Månsson in Misterhult (mentioned above), where Anna Lena Persdotter's sister, Greta Lisa Persdotter, was wife and mistress of the household. In the book of the parish catechetical meeting of Kisa (E) 1841-45 you can find Magnus Vilhem together with his mother, who is named the widow Anna Lena Persdotter. Magnus Vilhem moved from Kisa (E) to Tidersrum (E) in 1861. He married Karolina Josefina 1864-10-22. Their son Nils Johan was born on the 2nd of May the next year. Magnus Vilhem moved with his family to Horva in Tidersrum socken in 1868. In March 1873 Magnus Vilhem rented the farm Lindefall in the parish of Södra Vi in Småland, where the family now had moved. Later Magnus Vilhem bought Hagstugan near Trångrössle, Södra Vi. According to Linnea Carlson her brothers and sisters used to pick wood anemones and hepaticas to congratulate their grandfather on his birthday. It was important that the flowers did grow in time so the children used to take the snow away so that the plants would be ready to pick. In 1927 Magnus Vilhem died at Hagstugan in Södra Vi.
