Annie was born in 1910 as number three in the family of Samuel and Ida Peterson in Mellerud, Dalsland. She went to school there but the family moved to Malmö when she was ten years old. Missionsförbundet, Betlehemskyrkan, in Malmö. They married in 1931 and moved to Lit in Jämtland and then to Söderhamn in Hälsingland. During this time the family's three children were born, Karin, Lars and Anita. They grew up in Sollefteå in Ångermanland and in Ljungby in Småland, where Henry served as a pastor. After living in Ljungby for 9 years, Henry and Annie moved back to Norrland, this time to Härnösand, where Henry served as a superintendent of the district of Västernorrland.
