Biography

Born 28 October 1785 in Gräsbäcken, Lungsund (S). Baptized 31 October 1785 in Lungsund (S). Died 1 February 1849 in Ämten, Lungsund (S). Buried 11 February 1849 in Lungsund (S). Lars Jansson was born in Gräsbäcken in the parish of Lungsund in Värmland. In the parish register you can find him at his father's farm, Bomheden, Ölme 1805-09. In 1810 he moved to Lilla Lerdala common land in Ölme (S), in 1811 he settled down in Stenåsen, Lilla Lerdala. Later on he moved with his family to Bomvreten, Ölme (S). Next move is to Ämterud (S). In the church registers of 1831-1835 it is remarked that Lars Jansson has been violating the law and been punished for unlawful casting at Kungskogshyttan. In the church registration period of 1836-1840 it is being said about the remaining family, Lars Jansson, his wife Lena Olsdotter and his son Henrik, that they were vagrants.

Lena Olsdotter. Born 1784 in Lungsund (S). Died 16 June 1856 in Ämterud, Lungsund (S). Buried 22 June 1856 in Lungsund (S). Lena is not to be found in the birth register of Lungsund. This may depend on the fact that she was born in Fogdehyttan, Färnebo, where her parents moved in 1781. But it seems to be a fact that Katarina and even Olof Hindriksson moved back and forth between Kungsbotorp and Färnebo. In 1783 it is reported that Katarina Månsdotter moved from Kungsbotorp to Färnebo and in 1786 that Olof Hindriksson and Katarina Månsdotter moved from Kungsbotorp to Färnebo. According to notes in some of the church books Lena was born in Lungsund, which seems to be difficult to prove. Lena got a child out of wedlock in 1806. His name was Anders Andersson and he became stepson in the family when Lena got married to Lars Jansson. It may be noted that Lena's son Jan (Larsson) later on got married to his cousin Kajsa Bengtsdotter, the daughter of Lena's sister Anna Olsdotter.

	Jan (Johan) Larsson. Born 1 September 1810 in Stenåsen, Ölme (S). Baptized 2 September 1810 in Ölme (S). Jan Larsson's residence is said to be Emterud (Ämterud) at the time of the marriage. The wedding ceremony between Jan Larsson and Kajsa Bengtsdotter took place 1840-02-23. Fines paid to the church for "unwarrented life together" according to the following text in the records: "Kungskogstorp Jan Larsson, Kajsa Bengtsdotter ibidem were married on the 23rd of February 1840. Their son Lars was born on the 1st of June 1840."
	Katarina Larsdotter. Born 19 January 1813 in Stenåsen, Ölme (S). Died 26 January 1833 in Lundsberg, Lungsund (S).
	Olof Larsson. Born 3 December 1815 in Ölme (S).
	Henrik Larsson. Born 26 January 1819 in Ölme (S). Baptized 26 January 1819.
	Lars Larsson. Born 29 May 1823 in Ölme (S). Baptized 30 May 1823 in Ölme (S). Died 12 December 1825 in Ölme (S). Buried 18 December 1825 in Ölme (S). The family of Lars Jansson and Lena Olsdotter lived at this time in a place called Bomvreten, which probably was a settler's farmstead near Bomheden, Ölme (S).
