Biography

Born 27 January 1903 in Låxbo, Södra Vi (H). Died 2 May 1982 in Trollhättan (O). Henry was born 1903 in Låxbo(H). He grew up at Trångrödsla, Södra Vi, in the province of Kalmar. As a child he wasinterested in religious things. He went through a evangelist course in 1923,1924, a mission school in Finland 1925-27. Then he was a evangelist in the province of Östergötland, he was pastor in Malmö Betlehemsförsamling 1928-31, secretary of the youth mission in Jämtland and Härjedalen 1932-34, pastor in Stugsund, Ljusne-Ala and Askesta in Hälsningland 1934-38, Sollefteå missionsförsamling 1938-1947 in Ångermanland, Ljungby missionsförsamling in the southwest of Småland 1947-56, director of the district of Västernorrland and Jämtland of Sv.Missionsförbundet 1956-1968, stationed in Härnösand. When Henry was retired he and his wife moved to Trollhättan, where their daughter Anita and her husband Ben Benson lived. He was serving as a vacancy pastor in Mariestad and Lidköping. Henryd died in Trollhättan after a long period of illness the 2nd of May in 1982 and is buried there.

Annie Viola Henryd. Born 23 September 1910 in Mellerud, Dalsland (O). Died 24 January 1998 in Trollhättan (O). Annie was born in 1910 as number three in the family of Samuel and Ida Peterson in Mellerud, Dalsland. She went to school there but the family moved to Malmö when she was ten years old and when she ended school she worked in a haberdasher's shop for a while. Annie met her future husband, Henry Henryd, in Malmö, where he served as a pastor in one of the churches belonging to Sv. Missionsförbundet, Betlehemskyrkan, in Malmö. They married in 1931 and moved to Lit in Jämtland and then to Söderhamn in Hälsingland. During this time the family's three children were born, Karin, Lars and Anita. They grew up in Sollefteå in Ångermanland and Ljungby in Småland, where Henry served as a pastor. After their residence in Ljungby Henry and Annie moved back to Norrland, this time to Härnösand, where Henry served as a superintendent of the district of Västernorrland. When pensioned Henry and Annie moved to Trollhättan, where Annie was living until she died in 1998. Like her husband she is buried at the cemetery of Håjum in Trollhättan.
